If You’re Overweight, It’s Just A Symptom

An imbalance in one part of the body affects your entire system, so being overweight is a symptom of what is going on inside you. What is your digestion doing- Are you eliminating wastes properly- What do your glands think about your health today.

On top of all that there are external elements contributing to your health: your emotions, sleep patterns and stress levels – all playing as much of an integral part of your health as the function of your liver, colon and lungs. Things affecting your spirit, or “chi,” your energy levels and your health have to be addressed along with the disease in your body.

Why Sugar Is Toxic

I’ve  mentioned that refined sugar, or sucrose, has absolutely zero going for it because it’s been stripped of all vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that our bodies need to thrive and survive.

That’s why we call junk foods “empty calories”-there’s nothing in them to help your body keep its organs, tissues, and cells humming along the way they should.

Here’s what happens when you open wide and shovel sugary foods into your mouth:

3 Reasons You Need To Dump Sugar Now

Everyday I talk to people who struggle with depression, excess weight, mood swings, lack of energy and more.

Some are clients, some are friends of mine, and some are people I run into on the street, but they’re all just like you and me. In almost every case, they’re consuming a regular diet of refined sugar.

Most people just don’t know how dangerous sugar really is. And, the problem goes much deeper than simply feeling depressed and down all the time.
What gets me so upset is, regardless how many studies science produces to show the dangers of sugar, very few people are telling you the unvarnished truth about it . . . sugar is a toxic poison.

Okay, so you probably think I’m overreacting a bit here, right? To be honest, you wouldn’t be the first one to think so. But that’s my point.  Most people treat sugar like it’s just a little vice.

Well, I’m here to tell you that the danger is much more serious. And I’ve got 3 rock-solid reasons why you should get as far away from refined sugar as possible.

REASON #1: SUGAR LEADS TO CELLULAR DEATH

In 1957, Dr. William Coda Martin published a study on the chemical effects of sugar on the body. In a nutshell, here’s what’s going on . . .
The process of refining sugar completely drains it of vitamins and minerals. That’s why sugar is said to have nothing but empty calories. When the body tries to digest the refined sugar, it can’t break it down nutritionally. This creates a toxic substance called pyruvic acid. This acid has a lethal effect on our cells.
Basically, sugar blocks oxygen from getting through, resulting in cellular death. And, according to Dr. Martin, this “is the beginning of degenerative disease.”

REASON #2: SUGAR DRAINS THE BODY OF VITAMINS AND MINERALS

Since sugar is so difficult to break down, our bodies have to use a lot of vitamins and minerals just to make use of this toxin. So a sudden influx of sugar creates an incredible strain on the body.

This means the body has to use its vital resources of sodium, magnesium and potassium and other essential nutrients just to bring itself back into balance.

In other words, sugar creates a chaotic mess in our bodies and consumes a lot of our healthy resources to bring everything back under control.
Oh, and do you want to know why tooth decay comes from eating too many sweets?

It’s because calcium is taken from the bones and teeth to help protect the blood from the acid imbalances brought on by sugar. This leads to decay and weakening of the bones.

Sugar’s devastation on the body just never stops.

REASON #3: SUGAR LEADS TO AN ALL-OUT ASSAULT ON THE VITAL ORGANS

Let’s follow sugar’s pathway through the body. At first, sugar is stored in the liver in the form of glycogen. But after a daily diet of refined sugar, the liver begins to swell like a balloon. This causes a backup of sugar (now in fatty acid form) in the blood.

Next stop . . . inactive areas such as the waist, buttocks, belly and thighs where fatty acids are stored.
Then another backup. Only this time, the fatty acids settle in the heart, kidneys and other organs.

Slowly their contaminated cells begin to turn into fat, too. The organs begin to slow down, leading to high blood pressure, small brain paralysis and diabetes.
And, believe it or not, that’s just for starters. Refined sugar affects digestion, body chemicals and even the nervous system.

See why this drives me crazy?

Sugar is one of the most dangerous substances you can put into your body. It overtakes every area. It affects everything. And our society is overrun with it.
But, you don’t have to live like a slave to the effects of sugar any longer.

You can begin to make healthier food choices and start living life with more energy, excitement and zest.

The Link Between Sugar and Osteoporosis

In order for our bodies to process sugar, it has to rob our reserves of vitamins and minerals. This means sugar is not just an empty calorie substance . . . it’s a sub-zero calorie substance. And this can have devastating effects on your body.

For instance, when our bodies look for nutrients to steal, it targets key minerals such as calcium from the bones and teeth. And since calcium is the primary mineral used to neutralize high acid in the cells, we could be left with “toxic” minerals, because there’s not enough calcium to fight them off.
